KADAR ASAM SALISILAT TIKUS PASCA PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN SIRSAK (Annona muricata)

Abstract


Kanker menjadi penyakit paling mematikan nomor dua di dunia, pencegahan kanker menjadi salah satu cara yang dapat dilakukan dengan mengkonsumsi buah atau sayur yang banyak mengandung antikoksidan, antikanker atau asam salisilat. Sirsak menjadi salah satu tanaman yang mengandung senyawa antikoksidan dan antikanker. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian ekstrak daun sirsak terhadap kadar asam salisilat pada tikus yang diinduksi karsinogenik DMBA. Penelitan menggunakan 20 tikus yang dibagi menjadi 4 kelompok, kontrol negatif, kontrol positif (induksi DMBA), P1 (induksi DMBA + ekstrak daun sirsak 20 mg/kgBB) dan P2 (induksi DMBA + ekstrak daun sirsak 40 mg/kgBB). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tikus kelompok kontrol positif memiliki kadar asam salisilat yang paling tinggi, tikus P1 dan P2 memiliki kadar asam salisilat paling rendah. Dapat disimpulkan pemberian ekstrak daun sirsak diduga mampu menekan efek karsinogenik DMBA terhadap tikus yang ditandai dengan penurunan kadar asam salisilat
