Abstract


This study aims to determine the relationship between parental attention and with interest in learning for class XI students of SMAN Bojonegara in 2022. This research uses a quantitative approach with this type of research correlation. The population in this study were all high school students in class XI with a total of 150 students. The data collection technique uses a scale to collect data Parental attention and interest in learning. Validity test using expert judgment and reliability testing with internal consistency using the Alpha Cronbach technique. Data analysis techniques using analysis simple regression.
Based on the results of data analysis and discussion of the relationship between parental attention and interest in learning in class XI students of SMAN 1 Bojonegara, it was found that there was a positive relationship between parental attention and interest in learning. Based on the results of the correlation calculation test, both have a value of R = 0.229 with a significant value (p) of 0.005 (p < 0.05), which means that the two variables of parental attention and interest in learning have a positive relationship. This means that the higher the parents' attention, the higher the learning interest of class XI students of SMAN 1 Bojonegara, and vice versa. The contribution of parents' attention and interest in learning is 5.2%.
