Abstract


Reading children's stories to make them fall asleep is expected to shape the child's character. This study examines related to the habit of reading children's stories can introduce Indonesian and instill morals in children. The purpose of this study is to find out that language acquisition and instilling good morals can be through the habit of reading children's stories before going to bed. This research is useful to provide information to the public that they must often read children's stories to their children. The sample in this study was AbdurasyidAtmam. Children have been accustomed to being read to children's stories during free time and before going to bed from the age of 3 years and are now 9 years old. This research uses qualitative research methods with case design, namely research with an in-depth study of certain events, environments and situations that allow revealing or understanding something. Data collection techniques use daily journals and observations.In this study, we will describe the phenomenon of the impact of a habit of reading stories on children's language acquisition and morals. Based on the results of research by having the habit of reading children's stories to children before going to bed has a very good impact on children's language, children record and follow the stories they hear and realize in their daily lives.
