Focus and Scope

The scope of articles accepted by the Indonesian Scientific Journal of Midwifery covers the following areas, in accordance with midwifery scientific standards:

Maternal Health

Pregnancy (Ante-Natal Care): Pregnancy care, pregnancy complications, and efforts to prevent pregnancy risks.

Labor (Intra-Natal Care): Labor pain management, the birth process, and maternal emergency care.

Postpartum and Lactation: Postpartum care, breastfeeding issues, and maternal mental health after delivery (e.g., postpartum blues).

Child Health

Newborns (Neonates): Immediate newborn care, early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD), and neonatal health issues.

Infants and Toddlers: Child growth and development, complementary feeding (MPASI), and efforts to prevent stunting.

Reproductive Health and Family Planning

Adolescence: Adolescent reproductive health, menstrual problems, and sexual health education.

Preconception and Premarital Affairs: Health preparation before pregnancy.

Contraception/Family Planning: Research on long-acting contraceptive methods (MKJP) and non-MKJP.

Climacteric/Menopause: Health issues in women approaching and during menopause.
