Upaya Meningkatkan Keterampilan Berbicara Siswa SD Melalui Model Pembelajaran Time Token
Abstract
This research was motivated by the students' low speaking ability. One solution to the problem of students' low speaking skills is through the Time Token Arends learning model assisted by audio-visual media which is expected to improve children's speaking skills. The formulation of the research problem is "Can the application of the Time Token Arends learning model assisted by audio-visual media improve students' speaking skills?" The aim of this research is to improve students' speaking skills through the application of the Time Token Arends model assisted by audiovisual media. And this research is classroom action research designed in three cycles, each cycle consisting of 2 meetings.The research results show that the Time Token Arends model assisted by audiovisual media can improve students' speaking skills. Where in the pre-research speaking skills there were 26 students, there were 6 students (23%) who had good speaking skills, and 20 students (78%) who had low levels of speaking skills. Then at the end of the cycle after applying the Time Token model, data was obtained that of the 26 students, 22 students (84.61%) had reached the minimum score limit, and only 4 students (15.39%) had not reached the score limit. minimum score limit. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the Time Token Arends model based on audio visual media can improve students' speaking skills.
