Abstract

The decline in student creativity is caused by various things, including the lack of teacher attention in seeing the needs of students in the learning process. The use of learning methods that are fairly monotonous, teachers do not bring things that can produce students thinking creatively and also actively in the learning process in the classroom. The purpose of this research is to increase student creativity in learning P5 of the independent curriculum. This research uses the method of classroom action research (PTK) and the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. the data collection used is observation and interviews. In the first cycle, teachers applied collaborative learning methods that allowed learners to exchange ideas and discuss in working on creative projects. Then in the second cycle, learners are given the freedom to choose project topics that are tailored to their respective interests, where the teacher acts as a facilitator. The results prove that the increase in learner creativity in the first cycle is 20% and the second cycle is getting higher to 80%.
