This study aims to examine the utilization of the game of congklak as a learning tool for students at Sanggar Belajar Al-Ikhlas Sungai Penchala, Malaysia. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study explores students' responses to the congklak game and how it can be applied as a learning tool. Data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with students and teachers, and documentation of activities during the game. The results showed that the congklak game has not been used as a learning medium at Sanggar Belajar Al-Ikhlas Sungai Penchala due to the lack of student knowledge and supporting facilities. Most students are not familiar with the game of congklak, although some already know and have played it in the past. Students who are familiar with congklak show high enthusiasm when given the opportunity to play. Teachers responded positively to the introduction of congklak as a learning tool because it can train concentration, decision-making, and introduce Indonesian cultural heritage. Implications of this research emphasize the importance of preserving traditional games such as congklak as part of cultural heritage that can increase students' cultural identity and pride, especially in non-formal education environments outside Indonesia. The use of congklak as a learning medium not only contributes to students' cognitive and psychomotor aspects, but also to their understanding and appreciation of their home culture. In addition, the preservation of this traditional game can also enrich learning methods, provide variety in learning activities, and strengthen intergenerational relationships through the reintroduction of an almost forgotten cultural heritage.
