DOMESTIFIKASI SEBAGAI STRATEGI PERLAWANAN PEREMPUAN DALAM CERPEN GARAM MUTJE (2021) KARYA NANING SCHEID

Perempuan dan peran domestik merupakan dua hal yang berkaitan dengan pengalaman masa lalu di mana kaum perempuan menjadi subjek kolonialisme. Dalam tatanan dunia ketiga, perempuan masih merasakan dampak kolonialisme berupa marginalisasi. Cerpen Garam Mutje (2021) karya Naning Scheid adalah satu cerpen yang membahas mengenai kompleksitas perempuan dunia ketiga dalam narasi domestifikasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap strategi perlawanan perempuan terhadap ideologi patriarki direpresentasikan melalui narasi domestifikasi di dalam teks. Pendekatan feminisme poskolonial Anne McClintock dan konsep domestifikasi Barbara Rogers digunakan untuk menjelaskan relasi gender dan strategi perlawanan perempuan di dalam teks melalui domestifikasi. Penguasaan Mutje di ranah domestik berkaitan dengan upayanya dalam merespons hierarki gender yang terbentuk melalui narasi domestifikasi. Sebagaimana kolonialisme, hierarki gender dalam ideologi patriarki juga menghasilkan strategi perlawanan perempuan yang dihadirkan Mutje melalui bubur candil buatannya. Melalui perlawanan Mutje, teks ini justru menempatkan perempuan sebagai agen aktif dengan penguasaannya dalam ranah domestik.

Abstract
Women and domestic roles are two things related to past experiences that women as the subject of colonialism. In the third world order, women still feel the impact of colonialism in the form of marginalization. Garam Mutje (2021) by Naning Scheid is a short story that discusses the complexity of third-world women in domestication narratives. This study aims to show the strategy of women's resistance to the patriarchal ideology through domestication narratives represented in the text. Anne McClintock's postcolonial feminism approach and Barbara Rogers’ domestication concept are used to explaining gender relations and women's resistance strategies through domestication. Mutje's character's mastery in the domestic sphere is related to her efforts to respond to the gender hierarchy formed through the domestication narrative. Like colonialism, gender hierarchy in patriarchal ideology also produces women's resistance strategies that are presented by Mutje through her candil porridge. Through Mutje's resistance, this text places women as active agents with mastery in the domestic sphere.
