Focus and Scope
Jurnal Pesona publishes original articles (research, conceptual, and critical reviews) that focus on the fields of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Linguistics, and Culture relevant to the Indonesian language. Accepted topics include, but are not limited to:

Indonesian Language Education: Teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and learning media innovation for Indonesian language at all educational levels.

Linguistics: Studies in phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, pragmatics, sociolinguistics (e.g., slang, multilingualism), and psycholinguistics related to the Indonesian language.

Literature: Analysis and criticism of Indonesian literature (prose, poetry, drama) and regional Indonesian literature, including its role in education.

Indonesian Culture and Local Wisdom: Research on the values, philosophy, and local wisdom (e.g., Piil Pesenggiri, oral literature) as reflected in language and literature, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Teaching Indonesian to Speakers of Other Languages (BIPA): Research and pedagogical issues related to teaching Indonesian as a foreign language.

Language Skills: Studies on developing and assessing the four Indonesian language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
