RELASI MAKNA DALAM KUMPULAN CERPEN “CATATAN PERTAMA” KARYA RENO WULAN SARI (KAJIAN SEMANTIK)

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form of meaning relation in the short story collection of First Notes by Retno Wulan Sari. This research is a qualitative research with descriptive qualitative method. The theory used in this research is semantic meaning relation theory. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, sentences and paragraphs in the form of monologues and dialogues contained in the short story collection of First Notes by Reno Wulan Sari. Meanwhile, the data source in this research comes from 12 titles of short stories of First Notes by Reno Wulan Sari. There are 4 data collection techniques used, namely reading and understanding the collection of short stories, collecting data, entering data in the inventory table, entering data and describing data in the results section. The data analysis technique in this study was analyzed by steps: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) data presentation, (4) conclusion drawing and verification. The results of this study show that there are 5 forms of meaning relations in the short story collection of First Notes by Retno Wulan Sari, including synonymy, antonymy, opposition, hyponymy and polysemy.
