KEMAMPUAN SISWA KELAS VIII SMP NEGERI 1 AMBARAWA DALAM MENULIS IKLAN

The topic discussed in this study is about students' ability in writing advertising texts based on the accuracy of their structure. This study aims to determine how to write the structure of advertising texts for students of class VIII semester 1 of SMP Negeri 1 Ambarawa. The research method used is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The results of the study showed that the ability of indicators in persuasive statements, namely 57%, is categorized as lacking. Students' ability in writing slogans, namely 42%, is categorized as lacking. Students' ability in drawing, namely 94%, is categorized as very good. From the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the ability of students of class VIII semester 1 of SMP Negeri 1 Ambarawa in writing advertising texts based on the accuracy of their structure is included in the good category.
