KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA DI AKUN INSTAGRAM PUBLIK FIGUR @RAFFINAGITA 1717

Abstract


The purpose of this study was to find out politeness in the public comment column for posts on the Instagram account @raffinagita1717. This research is a qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research data was obtained from the results of documentation, reading/watching, and taking notes. The population in this study amounted to 350 posts and a sample of 35 posts. The results of the study show that the use of politeness in the maxim of praise has 99 utterances (53.2%), the maxim of sympathy has 51 utterances (27.5%), the maxim of agreement/approval has 15 utterances (8.1%), the maxim of modesty has 11 utterances (6%), the maxim of wisdom has 5 utterances (2.6%), and the maxim of generosity has 5 utterances (2.6%). The conclusions in the study, namely the use of praise maxims is more dominant than the other maximsKeywords: Language Politeness, Instagram Social Media
