Abstract


Language variations are part of the variety of languages used in their functions and situations, of course with the rules of the language that apply. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The object of research is language variation in online shopping site Shopee advertisements. The research subject is the online shopping site Shopee. The data source used in this research is advertisements on the online shopping site Shopee. With data in the form of words in advertisements. The data collection method is a documentation study that uses data collection techniques in the form of reading and note-taking techniques. The data analysis technique uses data triangulation techniques in the form of the first three flow of activities by using data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. There are two types of language variations in the slogan of the online shopping site Shopee, namely foreign language variations and slang or slang language variations. Every type of language data variation that has been identified is an unofficial language variety.
