SMART: Journal of English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics ISSN: 2356-2048, e-ISSN: 2356-203X a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by the collaboration of LPPM Universitas Muhammadiyah Pringsewu,  Department of English Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Muhammadiyah Pringsewu (PBI FKIP UMPRI) and the Association of Indonesian English Education Department  (APSPBI) 

The journal publishes both conceptual and research-based articles within the fields of English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics. 

The scopes of the journal include the following topic areas:

3. English for Specific Purposes
4. ELT Materials Development and Evaluation
5. English Language Testing and Assessment
6. Teaching English to Young Learners
7. English Literature
8. Language Policy and Planning
9. Second Language Acquisition
10. Applied Linguistics

It published biannually in the months of January and August.

Authors should submit only papers that have been carefully proofread and polished. Before submission please make sure that your paper is prepared using the journal paper template. The authors must refer to Smart for writing format and style (Please download and use as a template for an initial manuscript submission) Download the TEMPLATE on the menu bar. This will ensure fast processing and publication. Any papers not fulfilling the requirements based on the guideline to authors will not be processed.

We strongly prefer to receive manuscripts via our online submission system. Using this system, authors can upload manuscript files directly to our office and check on the status of their manuscripts during the review process. First, kindly please register as an author, and then you should log in to submit your papers. Please do not forget to tick the author when you make a registration.
